This native to Afghanistan is extremeiy good for desert areas. It is drought tollerant and in fact will not do well in areas of high rainfall. It makes a wonderful windbreak or fast-growing treeline here in Arizona. It makes a decent Christmas tree with some trimming. Its mature hight can be 60 ft or more. Hardy in zones 6 to 11.
