Hedychium Consanguineum “Garland Flower”
The blossoms of this ginger cling to green, waxy, bulbous, scale-like bracts in terminal clusters. These white flowers with yellow throats are large and sweetly perfumed. They can grow to a height of six feet, an easy grower, is adaptable to more sun than other Hedychiums but will require ample moisture.
Sometimes called Hardy Ginger Lily, Hedychium Gingers are more cold hardy than most gingers, They put on a great show of flowers in the summer to early fall. Loves part-shade, heat, and moisture. Cold hardy in zones 7+. Move inside for winter in colder areas.
