Possibly the showiest of all Hedychium gingers, H. Gardnerianum produces a huge spray of fragrant butterfly-like green/yellow flowers with red stamens.
Sometimes call Hardy Ginger Lily, Hedychium Gingers are more cold hardy than most gingers, They put on a great show of flowers in the summer to early fall. Loves part-shade, heat, and moisture. Cold hardy in zones 7+. Move inside for winter in colder areas.
