Although sold as Lycoris Aurea, these bulbs from Japan are most likely Lycoris Traubii. Esoterically this means they have 14 chromosomes instead of 16. More importantly, these are seed fertile and are more cold hardy than the Lycoris Aurea bulbs from further south. Frequently the foliage doesn't start comming up until December. So I expect them to be hardy down to zone 7, especially if leaves are involved in your landscape. Large 12 cm bulbs.
