Curcuma are a ginger relative native to southeast Asia. It takes drought, heat and humidity with equal ease. The long lasting flower spikes are sometimes called summer tulips. Each rhizome can produce up to 5 flowers. It prefers light shade, full shade in AZ Cold hardy in zones 7+. Move inside for winter in colder areas.
