Bulbs are small for amaryllis and may need a year to reach full size (aprox. 1.5 inches across) They may not bloom until they are well established in their new location (they like to be crowded). This variety often takes a long time before establishing new roots. Rooting hormone, fungicide, filtered water, and bottom heat may help. We find they make the best growth in a shady location when it is warm and moist each summer. Thier natural habitat is on old volcanic hills. |
