This is an uncommon variety of hyacinth called Double Delight. We got it at the Dutch bulb auctions, so the grower might not be selling it in the future.. I don’t know much about it. I believe it has double petals but I am not sure on the color. Our best guess is a pink of some type due to its bulb-skin color. The picture is representative only and we are unsure as to its accuracy.
Hyacinths are very easy to force and extremely fragrant. They can be grown with water (just be sure to keep the bulb above water level) or with soil. It is best to keep them cool for root growth.
